There will be pain during sexual intercourse. Normally severe dryness occurs.

Smells like beer or bread, like yeast in the vaginal area.
About 75% of women in general will have at least one vaginal yeast infection in their lifetime. Over half of these women will contract one more than once. Talking directly to a doctor will help determine if a yeast infection is present. Make sure all symptoms are told to the doctor to insure a proper diagnosis.
Make sure to see the doctor the first time to make sure there is in fact a vaginal yeast infection. Some sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) have similar symptoms. If it is in fact an STD and yeast infection medicine is applied it could make the situation a lot worse. Proper diagnosis can insure proper care.
How to get rid of yeast infection?
Avoid wearing tight fitting clothes or clothes with synthetic fibers.
Cotton panties are recommended. They allow the vaginal area to breathe a lot better unlike spandex or silk.
Panty hose and leotards should not be worn all day the nylon does not allow the vaginal area to breathe.
After getting out of the bath or shower, use the blow dryer on the lowest, coolest setting to help dry your genital area.
